Being a mostly natural, unsurfaced trail , 50 Acre Wood needs a periodic spot of TLC to keep it running nicely. The next trail day is going to be on Saturday 14 September, focusing on getting the puddles and potholes sorted and giving the trail flow with a capital F.
Meet at the squeeze stile at 11.00 am, or come and find us later (my mobile is 0771 265 0857 if you need directions). We’ll be out until 4.00pm, then heading to Roll for the Soul afterwards for the Bristol Cycle Festival film premier party. Oh yes.
If you’ve not come to a trail day before, have a look here for info about what we do and how we do it. You don’t need to bring any tools or materials (we’ll supply these), but sensible shoes and long trousers are a good idea, unless you want your best daps to get covered in mud. Cake requests accepted via our Twitter and Facebook pages.
There is parking for a couple of cars on Weir Lane, or you can use the car park at Abbots Pool. See the map below for locations.
