If you’ve ridden 50 Acre Wood lately, you’ll probably have noticed some extremely large holes on the trail. While we’re cool with roots, rocks and mud, it’s got to the point where we need to add a bit of flow back by doing some repairs.
Come along this Sunday, 17 May at 11.00 am and help get things buff again. Meet at the Squeeze Stile by the start of the trail or wander up the track and find us. We’re starting with the top left corner of the wood, near the “Go Ape” centre, as that has a big stash of easily accessible stone nearby. I’ll have my mobile on me (0771 265 0857) if you need directions.
As usual tools and materials are supplied. Just wear sensible clothing (it’s quite thorny in places) and footwear with grippy soles. We’ll also do a barbecue if the weather’s decent.
If you’re arriving by car, please park at Abbots Pool, not by the rugby club, to avoid annoying the locals.
If you’re a trail day first-timer, start by having a read of our Trail Day Guide.
