Wednesday 26 August, 6.00 pm at the squeeze stile
The 50 Acre Wood trail will be getting a shot in the arm this year, with new signage, improved access and a few repairs. Before all that though, we’re going to start by clearing some of the excess undergrowth, so you’ll be able to ride the trail without shredding your arms on brambles or bashing your way through greenery.
Meet at the entrance to the trail by the squeeze stile (edit: where the stile used to be) and bring secateurs or loppers if you have them. We’ll also have some tools and gloves to borrow.
Long trousers and sleeves are strongly recommended, it’s thorny up there. Cake will be supplied. BYO water and a lock if you’re arriving by bike. We’ll be out until about 8 pm, so please arrive early if possible.
If you haven’t come on a trail day before, don’t worry. We’re a friendly bunch and nothing we do is especially complicated. Have a look at our Frequently Asked Questions for details of what to bring, where to park, and more.
